Embossing Tools

Create embossed shapes on metal clay with Cool Tools Embossing Templates. Embossing Templates allow plenty of room around each shape to press multiple layers and complex shapes into soft clays such as metal clay, polymer clays, ceramic, air-dry, paper, terra cotta and more. Each Embossing Template shape is designed to work with a Trim Shape, Outer Shape or Inner Shape. Create layered effects by rolling the center image first and working outward. Layers can then be decorated, textured, carved, and embellished with gems.

Cash Olsen’s method of “hot air reflow” for soldering SMT (surface mount) electonic components using an embossing tool (hot air blower) and hotplate (coffee cup warmer). The method applies solder, in the form of a paste, commercial product, and solders small components using hot air instead of a soldering iron. This is a low cost alternative to the toaster oven method which uses the same solder paste.
